General Assistant to Owner/Event Coordinator

Gloriosa & Co. at the Curtis House seeks applicants for the position of general assistant to the owner/event coordinator.  Part-time, flexible hours; approx. 30 hours per week April - October.  Potential for year-round employment (fewer hours in winter).  Typical schedule Wednesday-Sunday.  Weekend availability in spring, summer, and fall is REQUIRED!

Duties include:

  • House & barn cleaning & organization

  • Gardening

  • Property maintenance

  • Greenhouse work

  • Event florals & decor set-up

  • Event coordination

  • Meet with clients and B&B guests

  • Assist front-of-house, dish, and/or kitchen staff as needed

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Gardening, landscaping, and/or foodservice experience preferred

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Valid driver’s license and transportation
